PAINKILLERS – Baby Storme

Baby Storme attempts to find a cure for heartbreak in “Painkillers”. This haunting alternative ballad includes sad lyrics and Baby Storme’s angelic vocals over a moody piano instrumental that’ll give listeners goosebumps. ”If I take painkillers would it heal my heart/If I pause my breathing would that make it stop?” Listen to this song with headphones for the ultimate listening experience. In the music video, she goes from being in a hospital bed to sitting on a throne, which makes for powerful imagery. Baby Storme transports listeners to the dark places of her mind with “Painkillers”.

Alone (feat. Travis Barker) – Pardyalone

Pardyalone has trouble letting go of a toxic relationship in “Alone”. His sensitive and bold vocals with vulnerable lyrics and Travis Barker’s passionate instrumental make this song a work of art. “Cause you were always someone I was scared of letting go/I didn’t wanna run, but I’m afraid of getting close/And you were always someone I was scared of letting know/That you have everything I need whenever I’m alone”. In the music video, Pardyalone reminisces on his relationship, with flashbacks of him and his ex and butterflies in the shots where he’s alone. Pardyalone and Travis Barker execute a heartfelt pop-punk anthem with “Alone”.

Over My Dead Body – girlfriends

Girlfriends cut off an ex in “Over My Dead Body”. This alternative pop banger features a catchy hook and relatable lyrics over a bright instrumental. “Don’t call me when you’re sad or you need to/I don’t want to talk, I don’t ever wanna see you/One day we could reunite maybe/Somewhere over my dead body baby.” Listen to this song whenever you’re getting over an ex-partner or ex-best friend. Girlfriends let go of the past with “Over My Dead Body.”

I Know You Too Well – Ally Nicholas

Ally Nicholas sings about her toxic partner in “I Know You Too Well.” This rock smash hit features Ally’s delicate yet powerful vocals with dark lyrics over a haunting instrumental, which makes this song unforgettable. “I know you too well, you’re under my skin/I slam the door but you always come back in/It’s such a shame, the price I had to pay/I know you too well, you can’t be saved.” The intricate production, from the acoustic intro to the harmonization of Ally’s vocals throughout the song, it’s left a mark on us.
