B&B’s Favorite New Releases featuring Kiiara, Veyah, Public Library Commute and Daisy Grenade (6/2)

Happy June! Our favorite new releases of last Friday (6/2) features new music from Kiiara, Veyah, Public Library Commute, and Daisy Grenade.

Kiiara – Hangover

Kiiara is sick with a love “Hangover” in her first single of 2023. In this euphoric pop song, Kiiara sings about a guy she’s lovesick over, but she likes every bit of it. “I don’t need drugs / I don’t need liquor / I get my fix when I spend the night with ya / Give me a buzz / But ya leave me so bitter.” Kiiara’s bright vocals with the simple, hard-hitting instrumental make this song a hit. But don’t be fooled; what’s simple in the production is compensated with her harmonies and signature vocal effects. Play this song at a house party or during a pregame for a night out. Kiiara’s “Hangover” is a catchy pop bop that’s sure to give listeners a good hangover from having it on replay.

Veyah – Funeral 4 My Feelings

Veyah kills her feelings for her ex in her new song, “Funeral 4 My Feelings”. In this upbeat pop song, Veyah moves on from her ex that did her wrong. “Welcome to the funeral for my feelings / Cause they’re dead and gone / Now you gotta live in that regret cause you know you were wrong / Searchin’ for a sign of life from me.” Veyah’s self-assured vocals over the piano-heavy, bass boosted instrumental makes this song unique. The maximalist production of this song is a breath of fresh air, with the choir-like sound effects, the sound bites of people talking, and Veyah’s ad-libs. Listen to this song in celebration of your moving on from your ex or when your bestie is getting over an ex. Veyah’s “Funeral 4 My Feelings” is your new post-breakup anthem.

Public Library Commute – 100 Degrees

Public Library Commute falls for his friend in his new song “100 Degrees”. In this chill alternative-pop banger, he develops a crush on his friend who’s moving away for the year, trying to convince them to stay and take their relationship to the next level. “I feel 100 degrees / When you call my name / And I don’t know what you see / Hope we feel the same.” Public Library Commute’s smooth vocals with the mellow, intricate instrumental makes this song a banger. The funky electric guitar breakdown in the bridge adds a playful touch. Play this song while you’re daydreaming about your future lover or on a summer night for dreamy vibes. We’ll have “100 Degrees” on repeat all summer long.

Daisy Grenade – Got It Bad

Daisy Grenade is coming in hot with their new pop-punk song, “Got It Bad”. The duo, Dani and Keaton, sing about giving their partner another chance, only to get let down. “I cut you slack / You broke my back / Clench my fist and bite my tongue / Only do it while I’m young / Brace for the crash / I got it bad.” Daisy Grenade’s powerful vocals paired with the electric rock instrumental and catchy lyrics sets this song apart from the usual. Listen to this song in your room on full volume when you’re having a bad day or on a road trip for main character vibes. Daisy Grenade is a force in the scene, and “Got It Bad” will be stuck in our heads all year long.
