B&B’s Favorite New Releases: Love Edition (7/7)

This week’s picks of our favorite new releases are all about love. Whether you’re in love or over love, our favorite new releases are for all your feelings about love. Featuring new music from Croosh, Alemeda, Asal and Pretoria.

Croosh – Cut Out

Croosh believes that he’s not “Cut Out” for love in his new single. In this alternative-pop song, Croosh sings about his destructive and emotionless nature in his recent relationship as he tries to get over the breakup. “I tried a thousand times / To make it work but to no avail / You know I did my best / I may as well accept that I ain’t cut out for love.” Croosh’s raspy vocals, the groovy bass line and electric guitars make this song an unconventional hit. Listen to this song after you break up with your partner for reassurance and honesty. Croosh’s “Cut Out” is an honest, funky song that we can’t help but sing when it comes on.

Alemeda – First Love Song

Alemeda is resisting her fear of love in her new single “First Love Song”. In this alternative-pop song, Alemeda tries to let herself love a boy freely. “Part of me, part of me knows / I shouldn’t try to control it / Loving you, loving you more / Now this sh*t getting important.” Alemeda’s smooth airy vocals with the mellow guitar-driven instrumental makes us feel like we’re on cloud 9. Listen to this song when you’re scared and excited by being enamored of someone. Alemeda’s “First Love Song” is relatable and catchy and we’ll have it on replay all summer.

Asal – Liars & Players

Asal numbs her feelings with partying in her new song, “Liars & Players”. In this New Jersey club banger, Asal is over relationships and just wants to have fun. “Pour up them drinks / Yeah I’m going crazy, but I need me one more / Liars and players, her man back home and he feeling no ways cause he don’t know / She’s in the club looking for love / Give her the world and it won’t be enough”. Asal’s cool emotionless vocals with the bass-boosted instrumental makes us want to dance. Play this song at a club or a house party to get people hype and feeling euphoric. Asal’s “Liars & Players” is our new hot girl summer anthem.

Pretoria – As If

Pretoria won’t go back to their ex in their new song, “As If”. In this alternative song, the band sings about breaking up with their toxic ex. “Haven’t slept in the past week / You’re in love with the past me / You say you’re sorry, darling me too / Sorry that I even met you now.” The band’s arrangement, from Rob’s vocals to Matts’ and Josh’s guitar riffs, and Ben’s drumming skills, Pretoria’s constructed a catchy bop. Listen to “As If” when you’re fresh out of a relationship and are over your ex or on the beach for a summer jam session. Pretoria’s “As If” is your new summer breakup anthem.
