This weeks list of our favorite new releases features new music from Samaria, DOUBLECAMP, Allen Haley and Annie Omalley.
Samaria – tight rope
Samaria’s relationship is on a “tight rope” in her new single. In this soulful R&B ballad, Samaria’s partner isn’t reciprocating the love and energy which is wearing her down. “You know I don’t hold no one else above you / Keep me hostage just for your comfort / Taking one hundred percent of me.” Samaria’s determined vocals, with vulnerable lyrics and chill instrumental, make this song a hit. Listen to this song at the end of a kickback with friends or in your car on a late-night drive home. Samaria’s “tight rope” teaches us not to let people drain our love and energy.
DOUBLECAMP – Daydream
DOUBLECAMP feel at home in their “Daydream” in their new single. In this sunny alternative song DOUBLECAMP sings about escaping their problems and mundane reality by daydreaming. “Let the good times roll / I don’t ever wanna go back / If I leave now, I would just relapse / Can I stay though, cause I just unpacked.” The duo’s blissful vocals and the bright, peaceful instrumental make this song a vibe. Listen to this song with your headphones on while daydreaming about your ideal life. DOUBLECAMP brings us to paradise with “Daydream”.
Allen Haley – Wishes
Allen Haley “Wishes” he was in a relationship with his friend in his new single. In this laidback pop song, Allen sings about how he’s head over heels for his friend. “I’m riding round / Wishing that you were in my passenger / I’m playing songs I made for you / It’s been a long time / Lady, can’t you see I’m only after ya.” Allen’s smooth vocals and unique instrumental with catchy lyrics make this song a hit. Listen to this song on a hot summer day or in your room while you’re thinking about your crush. Allen Haley’s “Wishes” is for the hopeless romantics.
Annie Omalley – Klose the Door
Annie and her ex can’t seem to “Klose the Door” on their relationship. In this angsty pop song, Annie can’t get over her ex, and her ex falls for her, leaving room for them to get back together. “Start again, same place, same time / My car’s outside, kiss in your drive / This room looks like the songs I write / Whenever I leave again / You always leave the door open.” Annie’s dreamy vocals over the nostalgic instrumental, with relatable lyrics, make this song a banger. Listen to this song when you’re thinking about reuniting with your ex or reminiscing on old times with them. Annie Omalley’s “Klose the Door” is a messy pop banger that’ll stay on repeat.
