Concert Review: ericdoa at the El Club in Detroit (2/23)

ericdoa and bixby brought the house down at a sold-out El Club for the Detroit stop on the DEAD ON ARRIVAL Tour. Bixby opened the show, bringing fellow collaborator Joon out to perform their song “By My Side”. He tamed the crowd’s energy with “are you sleeping alone again?”; before ramping it back up for his new song, “distance”.

At 8:45 pm, ericdoa’s live band prepares to come out to an interlude before ericdoa starts his set by rapping “kickstand”, an electric start to his set. He then interacted with the crowd and gave a big “f**k you” to all the politicians who didn’t help Flint, Michigan. His set continued with nothing but electric energy from the crowd, keeping them engaged and energized as he performed songs like “fool4love”, “dancinwitsomebawdy” and “strangers”. ericdoa closed his set with an epic extended version of “fantasize” that started acoustic and ended with many different renditions. Five minutes later he and the band returned with an encore and performed “primadonna”.

ericdoa’s show was exciting while remaining safe and personal. The DEAD ON ARRIVAL tour is almost over, and you don’t want to miss out.
